| FRANK B. COCHRAN has been with the firm since 1977 when he left the position of General Counsel to the Connecticut Civil Liberties Union, having previously served as one of the neighborhood lawyers in the New Haven Legal Assistance Association. He received his BA from Swarthmore in 1966, his LL.B. from Yale in 1969. Born in Oak Park, Illinois he resides in the City of New Haven. He concentrates his practice in administrative law, civil litigation, family law, land and zoning law, and has substantial experience representing zoning commissions and citizens groups, as well as taking on frontier issues from either side, including large scale developments, shopping malls, a football stadium, and coastal management act disputes. Admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1970 and to the federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. He brings to the firm great breadth of experience, tenacious and courageous advocacy and a lifetime of exploratory study of the relation of law to human problems. |
LINDA P. FRANCOIS received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Connecticut in 1979 and her Juris Doctor with honors in 1982. Concentrating her practice in conservation and property law, she has been involved in extensive work on conservation easements. Ms. Francois has participated in the protection of land by conservation restrictions and open space initiatives throughout Connecticut. In 1998, she and Peter Cooper co-chaired a Yale Environmental Law Clinic project on conservation easements. She is currently a director and president of the Bethany Land Trust, Inc., and an officer of the Bethany Horsemen riding organization. For the past fourteen years she has been a member of the Governor's Advisory Council for Housing Matters which reports its recommendations on legislation and other matters relating to housing to the General Assembly and the Chief Court Administrator. Her practice includes closings, foreclosures, evictions and collections. |
